Services - Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to treat infection or damage to the pulp (the soft tissue inside the tooth). This treatment becomes necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected due to deep decay, cracks, or trauma. If left untreated, the infection can spread, causing severe pain or even tooth loss. During a root canal, the dentist or endodontist removes the damaged or infected pulp, thoroughly cleans the inside of the tooth, and then fills and seals the space to prevent further infection. In many cases, a crown is placed on the tooth after the root canal to restore its strength and function. Root canal treatment is often effective in preserving a tooth, preventing the need for extraction, and alleviating pain caused by infection.
